Highlights
Coastline – Explore the beautiful coastline, walk isolated coastal tracks, watch whales in season, learn about the animals and birds.
Sea – Join the Marine Dynamics team for a boat experience bringing you closer to whales, sharks and many other sea creatures.
Stories – Experience the rich history of the coastline and go on a journey back in me to discover one of the worlds cradles of consciousness.
Birds – Visit penguins at either the sanctuary or Stoney Point. Get to know these quizzical creatures and the challenges they are facing. For bird enthusiast there are 20+ species of bird along the coastline and up the valleys that you can experience during a day tour including African Oystercatchers, Eurasian Whimbrels, Blue Cranes, Kestrels, Kites, Buzzards, Gulls and many others.
Wine experiences -One of Chris’s signature tours is a full day wine experience with lunch. There is the ‘Hemel en Aarde’ Tour where you can enjoy some spectacular Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines and also a tasting menu experience at Creation. Or for those that want to experience something different, a wine experience in a Strandveld Valley, a farming area with a rich history. Enjoy wine and local delicacies and end with a platter lunch on a large dam with beautiful views.
Hike in the Kogelberg Mountains and swim in the rivers – join our mountain guide for an unforgettable day.
Sunset along Clarence drive or sipping wine at De Kelders or weather permitting a seaside picnic in Kleinbaai, the sunsets here are legendary.
Craft Beer Experience – Enjoy a unique craft beer experience and visit a local award winning brewery, the food there is also delicious and either before or a er enjoy a beautiful coastal walk.
Secret caves experience – journey beneath to visit an ancient cave complex, learn about their history and the people that used them for shelter and smuggling. There are also some secret caves where you can swim in spring water. [Advance bookings for this are essential given tidal, weather and availability challenges].
Great Food – There are many hidden gems, from great pizza restaurants to finer dining experiences. We also have some great coffee at the Gansbaai Coffee Company and a fantastic local artisan bakery making fantastic sour dough loaves.
Curiosities -there is a collection of interesting shops including some eclectic second hand stores selling a number of curiosities.
Local delicacies are also available from home industry and small vegetable shops. Fynbos honey, milk tart, rooibos teas, local fruit and vegetables, roosterkoek and koeksisters.

Hermanus Cliff Walk
Meet your guide atop the ancient cliffs and embark on a 2 hour sensory voyage through humanity’s awakening. Trace the footsteps of early minds—where art, language, and medicine were born—and feel the echoes of the past come alive.

This ancient cave on the coastline was home to our ancestors going back 100,000 years.
Join us on a journey back in time.
Look out from the caves and see the same view the ancient peoples would have seen.

An easy coastal walk along an untouched coastline, experience the sights and sounds of the ocean and the birdlife and immerse yourself in the story of our journey towards consciousness.

Secret Caves Walk
One of our clients favourite experiences, a journey into the coastal caves that are not only beautiful but hold the secrets of our ancestors who lived in them, the secrets of seafarers who used them to hide their treasures and the secrets of travelers from afar with stories of smugglers and forbidden love.

The caves sit right on the sea:

What to bring – An expert guide will join you and will supply head torches and s ll water, please bring walking shoes
Duration – The cave tour takes about an hour, the cave swim is just a half hour but is well worth it.
Cost R300 per person for the main caves, the drip cave swim will have to be quoted based on availability

Lion’s Head Experience
A true Cape Town favourite, this scenic trail offers a steady, enjoyable climb with incredible views of the city, Table Mountain, and the Atlantic coastline. It’s the perfect choice for sunrise or sunset, and always a photographer’s dream.

Lion’s Head sits proudly beside Table Mountain, offering one of the most scenic viewpoints in the city. Your guide will take you along the spiral path that circles the mountain, revealing new views at every turn, from Signal Hill to the Atlantic coast.

Platteklip Gorge Experience
This is the most direct route up Table Mountain, a real classic! It’s a straightforward climb up ancient stone steps, with breathtaking views all the way. Tough but satisfying, it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys a good challenge and a serious sense of achievement.

India Venster Experience
For those who want a little adventure, this route goes right up the front face of Table Mountain, under the cable car, combining hiking with a few short, exciting scrambles. It’s a favourite among locals and visitors who want a real mountain experience without feeling rushed or unsafe.
Highlights
You’ll:
- Watch the city and ocean unfold below as you climb.
- Smell wild fynbos and feel the sun on the sandstone cliffs.
- Use your hands for a few short scrambles and narrow ledges, thrilling but not too scary.
- Stop at the famous “window” rock for a postcard-perfect photo.
- Enjoy views that change constantly, from the City Bowl to Lion’s Head and the Atlantic.
What To Expect
India Venster is one of Table Mountain’s most exciting routes. It’s adventurous but totally manageable, even if you’ve never scrambled before. The route winds cleverly through cliffs and ledges, revealing a new side of the mountain with every turn.
Your guide will make sure you feel safe and confident all the way up. Once at the top, most people choose to relax and take the cable car down, the perfect ending to a thrilling hike.

Starting from the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, this trail winds through shady forest and up into open fynbos before reaching Table Mountain’s highest point. It’s a route full of contrast, green, cool, and peaceful below, wild, bright, and open at the top.
