Birds – Visit penguins at either the sanctuary or Stoney Point. Get to know these quizzical creatures and the challenges they are facing. For bird enthusiast there are 20+ species of bird along the coastline and up the valleys that you can experience during a day tour including African Oystercatchers, Eurasian Whimbrels, Blue Cranes, Kestrels, Kites, Buzzards, Gulls and many others.
Wine experiences -One of Chris’s signature tours is a full day wine experience with lunch. There is the ‘Hemel en Aarde’ Tour where you can enjoy some spectacular Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines and also a tasting menu experience at Creation. Or for those that want to experience something different, a wine experience in a Strandveld Valley, a farming area with a rich history. Enjoy wine and local delicacies and end with a platter lunch on a large dam with beautiful views.

Secret caves experience – journey beneath to visit an ancient cave complex, learn about their history and the people that used them for shelter and smuggling. Great Food – There are many hidden gems, from great pizza restaurants to finer dining experiences. We also have some great coffee at the Gansbaai Coffee Company and a fantastic local artisan bakery making fantastic sour dough loaves.
Curiosities -there is a collection of interesting shops including some eclectic second hand stores selling a number of curiosities.
Local delicacies are also available from home industry and small vegetable shops. Fynbos honey, milk tart, rooibos teas, local fruit and vegetables, roosterkoek and koeksisters.

Platteklip is steep, steady, and rewarding. It’s the same path early explorers once used to reach the summit. Your guide will set a comfortable pace, with plenty of short breaks for photos and water stops. It’s a workout, but the views and the feeling at the top make it all worthwhile.

India Venster is one of Table Mountain’s most exciting routes. It’s adventurous but totally manageable, even if you’ve never scrambled before. The route winds cleverly through cliffs and ledges, revealing a new side of the mountain with every turn.
